DCV systems for single-family residential buildings have the purpose of guaranteeing air quality in the dwellings, preventing the accumulation of moisture and considerably improving their comfort.

This system combines the supply of air through grilles directly to the dwelling and an extraction system formed by ducts from bathrooms and kitchens.

It permits basic flow regulation through constant-flow nozzles or regulated flows, depending on the moisture level.

The main advantage is its simplicity, as it does not require a dual duct system.

It has a dual duct system (intake and extraction), improving comfort as there are no direct natural air inlets entering the dwelling. Each circuit has a fan to control the renewal flow.

The contaminated air will be permanently extracted, with a sweeping circuit performed throughout the dwelling, which consists of air inlet from the areas with the least activity, bedrooms and dining room, and air extraction from the most humid areas, such as bathrooms and kitchens.

A double-flow DCV that recovers a high percentage of heat in dwellings through the use of a heat recovery unit, thereby ensuring increased comfort and HVAC savings.


VENTILATION CONTROL

All the systems have different types of ventilation control:


Self-regulating control

The system is based on maintaining a constant, permanent flow rate in each part of the dwelling. It’s the simplest form of control.

The fans are used in combination with constant flow rate nozzles during the extraction process.


Hygro-regulated control

This system is based on ventilating at a variable flow rate, depending on the humidity level in the extraction hatch zone. It prevents the accumulation of moisture.

The fans are used in combination with regulated flow rate extraction nozzles, depending on the level of humidity.


Sensor control

This system is based on ventilating at a variable flow rate, depending on the readings of one or more sensors. It maintains optimum air quality, with minimum energy consumption.

The fans have a speed regulation capacity, at different speeds or by continuous regulation.
